This Cookie Policy explains how MRV Software SRL ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on kelixtrade.com and the Kelix Trade web application (together, the "Service"). Kelix Trade is the trading-name of the service operated by MRV Software SRL.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and keep you signed in. "Similar technologies" includes browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in the same way as cookies but are stored within your browser rather than sent in HTTP headers.
2. Our approach
We are committed to using as few cookies as possible. We do not use any tracking, advertising, profiling, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not have Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Mixpanel, or any other behavioural tracking installed.
We only use cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary to operate the Service: keeping you signed in, securing your session, protecting against bots, and processing payments when you choose to subscribe.
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, no opt-in consent is required under GDPR / ePrivacy (Directive 2002/58/EC, Article 5(3) exemption). We display a short notice for transparency, but you are not required to make a choice in order to use the Service.

3.3 What we do NOT use

- ❌ Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any advertising pixel
- ❌ Behavioural advertising or retargeting cookies
- ❌ Cross-site tracking cookies
- ❌ Profiling or fingerprinting technologies
4. Why we don't need a consent banner with "Accept / Reject"
Under EU law (the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR), prior consent is required only for cookies that are not strictly necessary for the Service requested by the user. The cookies described above all fall into one of these exempt categories:
- Authentication cookies — required to keep you signed in to your account.
- Security cookies (Cloudflare, Turnstile) — required to protect the Service and your account from attacks.
- Payment and fraud-prevention cookies (Stripe) — required to process a transaction you initiated and to prevent fraud during checkout.
- UI preference storage — first-party, no tracking, used only on your device to remember your settings.
We still display a transparency notice on first visit so that you are informed.
5. How to control cookies
Even though we do not use tracking cookies, you have full control over cookies in your browser:
- Block all cookies in your browser settings — note this will prevent you from signing in.
- Delete cookies and
localStorageat any time via your browser's privacy controls — this will sign you out and reset your UI preferences. - Use private/incognito mode — cookies and storage are cleared when you close the window.

6. If we add new cookies in the future
If we introduce any cookies that are not strictly necessary (for example, analytics or marketing cookies), we will:
- Update this Cookie Policy in advance.
- Implement a proper consent management banner with granular opt-in/opt-out controls.
- Block non-essential cookies until you give consent.
- Allow you to change your preferences at any time.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification.
